New Categories menu option

For those of you who regularly tweak your categories, we now have a new menu option under Product Details called Categories.
This menu now features an updated layout with a number of usability tweaks to make it easier to administer SiteSphere categories.

Go to Product Details > Categories to add or edit a category.

New feature released called Tags!

Today we are pleased to announce the release of a new feature called Tags.
Tags allows you to ‘tag’ items, articles, article types, categories and manufacturers with words or phrases. This enables you to display a tag cloud which in turn improves search engine optimisation.Go to Product Details > Tags or even Site Content > Tags to add a new tag.

Wizards now called Knowledge Trees

SiteSphere had a feature called Wizards which was found under Site Content. This feature allows you to create a custom search tree which helps visitors to your site find the products and services they require more easily.
It has now been renamed to Knowledge Trees.

Knowledge Trees are created by using the “drag and drop” Knowledge Tree Designer – which requires Microsoft Internet Explorer.

Go to Site Content > Knowledge Trees to add your first Knowledge Tree.

New modules on the way!

Approvals, versioning and taxonomy improvements are on the way.We are pleased to announce the imminent arrival of the following modules:

Approvals: The ability for Administrators to approve changes made by SiteSphere content contributors.

Versioning: The ability to roll-back to a previous version of an item or article.

Taxonomy: Improvements to categorising and tagging content.

These modules are currently under construction and will be available during the course of Summer 2010.

We are pleased to announce SiteSphere’s new social media feature – integration with Twitter!

Go to Site Content > Social Media to add your first Twitter feed.

We hope to add support for other social media websites in the future.

Welcome to SiteSphere’s News Portal! Your one-stop-shop for finding out what is happening in the world of SiteSphere.
